If you could go anywhere, where would it be? Where would you go?
I know you’re thinking, well I don’t really have the funds to go anywhere. I get it. But what if money were no object? What would your answer be then?
My answer? London, baby! (say it like Austin Powers to get the full effect)
My dream is to go to London. Obsessed with the idea, even. I’ve mentioned my affinity for the dialect, but this place is at the top of my bucket list.
When did the dream start? Probably when I was a pre-teen and picked up my first Agatha Christie novel. Or maybe it’s my love for 007 and all things shaken and not stirred. Or maybe, it was the television series from the 1960’s that I fell head over heels in love with, that I started collecting the boxed set on DVD.
I am talking about The Avengers. No, not the horrible film they tried to make in the 90’s, nor any superhero comic characters. I am talking about the campy goodness that is this show.
I loved it. I loved all of it. And yes, thank you for asking. I do watch BBC America, and yes I can’t live without it.
I don’t have the funds yet to jet off to London. But someday I will. And that’s the point. Just because I’m not where I am financially that I would like to be, doesn’t mean I should put my dreams on hold.
My dreams of faraway places, keep me on my toes and keep me from accumulating more debt. Every dollar thrown at my debt, brings me one step closer to that tarmac. Every penny, every nickel spent eradicating those negative numbers, brings me one step closer to that airplane and to my holiday awaiting me.
Someday debt, you will be nothing but a bad memory. One day I’ll replace that memory with new ones…preferably ones of the British variety 😉
What destination is at the top of your bucket list?
