Hey there dear Random Path readers!
Can you believe we are already halfway through the month? I mean, jeez… slow down May, we aren’t quite ready for June to be here yet, ummmkay?
As you know, my Monday Meanderings posts are a little snapshot of randomness into my life, so here’s what I am up to
Sometimes you just need to decompress so I watched one of my favorite classic movies, All About Eve with Bette Davis. One of her best roles and the screenplay has yet to be duplicated in terms of its cleverness and wit. If you have not seen it, do yourself a favor and watch it. You’re welcome.
On the weight loss front, I have been making progress, so hi-fives all around! Last time, I mentioned that I had lost 11 pounds, but as of today, I have now lost 20 pounds!!!! Eeeeeeeee!!!! I am so happy about this, you have no idea I have worked hard to change what I eat and to make sure that I work out 2-4 times a week and it is paying off. Slow and steady does indeed win the race, and a 20 pound weight loss since January gives me all the happy feelings 😀
Last week, Jana had a book link-up, where we all talked about what books we are reading, and one of the lovely gals who posted about the books she was currently reading, mentioned a book by Brittany Cavallaro entitled A Study In Charlotte. Well, anything having to do with Sherlock Holmes, never mind that it’s his great-great-great-great granddaughter who is the one solving crimes this time round, will be immediately read by me, and let me tell you: I devoured this book. I could not put it down. You can bet, I will be singing the praises of this book on next month’s book link up!
May has been very busy and I haven’t had a chance to try any new recipes. I have a few lined up that I would like to give a go to, but there just hasn’t been any free time and I am choosing to be very intentional with my time. We all get 24 hours in a day, and we choose how we spend them. I have been reading quite a bit on the topic and it really resonated with me. We all talk about how we don’t have enough time to do things, but we all get the same amount of hours in a 24 hour period. I am making better choices on how I spend my time, and I have noticed a difference in my days. I will expound more on this topic in the future.
Have a good week everyone!
