Here we are dear Random Path readers, already in the midst of June and summer about to knock on our door My daughter’s last day of school was this past week and I may or may not have been crying because I am an emotional being and also, it was her last day of kindergarten, so the mascara was running and my face was blotchy. Ah, such is life.
I am happy that summer will be here officially in Southern California shortly, as soon as this June Gloom burns off. June Gloom is Californians terminology for the utter greyness that strikes every morning and sometimes, if you are lucky, burns off by 3pm. Other days, it stays the whole gosh darn day, and it is completely non-motivating in every respect. We are eagerly awaiting the supremely spray tanned weather people, to tell us when we can finally stop dressing in layers and have our sunglasses permanently attached to our sun-screened faces
Wanted to give some serious link-love to some bloggers whose posts I am absolutely loving ♥♥♥
My friend Tanya over at A Mindful Migration has this awesome post Your Mind: A Bully, a Friend, Or Both and it is some powerful stuff folks!
Our Next Life is a blog I discovered a few weeks ago and I am totally motivated by this couple who plan to retire before the age of 40. Check out this post to get a taste of what they are all about: Why Creativity and Money Don’t Mix…For Me
Simply Fiercely by the talented Jennifer, is my favorite blog right now! Everything she writes is super inspiring and if you get lost reading her blog posts for a few hours, well, don’t blame me 😉 This post, 15 Things to Declutter That Aren’t Things, should be your must-read.
Tonya over at Budget and the Beach has a great post, Stacking The Decks in Your Favor which I highly recommend you read. Go ahead. I’ll wait…
Ruth over at Prudence Debt Free has a super inspiring post of how her and her husband have paid off over $100,00 of debt in just 4 years. Congrats again Ruth, that is so awesome!
Lastly, if you are in a documentary sort-of watching mood, I highly recommend watching Minimalism: A Documentary About The Important Things. Eye-opening to say the least, and chock full of important tidbits and why we consume the way we do. Two thumbs up, for sure. If it is not playing in your town, it will soon be available to download and watch online.
What’s going on with you guys? Excited for summer?
